THE CONSORTIUM OF SOCIETIES, ORGANISATIONS AND GROUPS: MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE AND SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

A list of the societies, organisations and groups joining the consortium is shown below with the names of the Management and Scientific Committees.

The Management Committee is to oversee the whole process and the general content of the meeting and to approve the suggestions of the Scientific Committee.

A Scientific Committee has been set up on similar lines and the role of the Scientific Committee is to score the abstracts and choose the papers to be accepted; to nominate those to give the 6 Invited Lectures; to join together to arrange Workshops on selected topics; to approve the overall programme; to suggestion chairmen of sessions.

2010 meeting                                                                                                     -  Michael Kerin

Representatives from Sweden and Ireland sit on these committees. This is because over the years groups from these countries have been well represented at each Nottingham meeting – the Swedes and the Irish and they would like to maintain their attachment to the meeting. Delegates from other countries (NIBCC had delegates from over 20) remain welcome.
